Samsung Strikes Back

Apple won its case against its major competitor on the tablet market – Samsung. The California company won the patent case brought against the South Koreans after its claims that the latter copied some of the design and hardware features of the iPad was respectfully confirmed by an independent German Court in association with Swiss Justice delivering organs. Nevertheless, Samsung is about to appeal the decision, this time with stronger arguments to rely on.
Ipad sales boosted in Europe after its second edition saw the day light in the EU stores. The product has been the major selling tablet of the year and with its thousands of apps available for users, it remains the strongest machine from the tablet technology out there. This is the reason why Apple needed a proper decision in this case – this is the only way it can show that they are actually dominating the market and force the competition to adapt to their innovations.
However, Samsung appeals the decision of the court. The sales of its Galaxy Tab were banned in Europe after the decision and just within days the appeal case is filed. Samsung now claims it has incorporated universal tablet design that has nothing to do with Apple as the technology inevitably adapts to similar design concepts. Furthermore, the people from South Korea confirm that there are common technological approaches that cannot overlook the hardware usage – after all, every computer has one and the same hardware composition and the same is happening with tablets. Apple is thus claimed to have no rights over assigning tablet technology solely to itself.
